Privacy Policy
DadTales is designed for parents and caregivers. The app helps adults record consented family voice samples and create private family stories.
Information We Collect
- Consented family voice samples.
- Parent display name, optional email address, and account identifiers from Sign in with Apple.
- DadTales session tokens stored securely on device to keep the parent signed in.
- Story prompts and generated story text.
- Baby nickname and stage, such as prenatal, newborn, or toddler.
- Purchase status and transaction information for DadTales Plus.
How We Use Information
- Create and manage family voice profiles.
- Keep voice samples tied to a parent account.
- Generate and play private family stories.
- Save a story library for the parent account.
- Provide subscriptions and restore purchases.
- Keep the service safe and reliable.
Children
DadTales is operated by adults. We do not create child accounts, sell child data, or use behavioral advertising. Parents are encouraged to use nicknames instead of a child's full legal name.
Voice Data
Voice samples are sensitive. DadTales requires a consent step before recording. Voice samples are used only for family story functionality and can be deleted by the account holder.
Account Security
DadTales uses parent account authentication for cloud voice rendering. Session tokens are stored in the device Keychain and removed when the parent signs out, deletes local app data, or deletes the account.
AI-Generated Content
Some stories and audio may be generated or rendered using AI. DadTales labels generated stories and AI-made family voice audio in the app and avoids medical claims about pregnancy, fetal development, sleep treatment, or child development outcomes.
Data Sharing
DadTales shares data only with service providers needed for app functionality, such as secure hosting, AI story generation, voice rendering, and App Store purchases. DadTales does not sell personal data or use data for third-party behavioral advertising.
Deletion
Parents can delete local app data from Settings. Signed-in parents can also delete the DadTales account from Settings, which requests deletion of voice samples, generated voice models, stories, generated audio, account metadata, and active session tokens unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, App Store purchase accounting, or legal compliance.
If you cannot access the app, email privacy@dadtales.app for account deletion or privacy help.
